Boscia’s Two New Additions To It’s Tsubaki Range – Cleansing Oil-Gel & Deep Hydration Sleeping Mask Review

By Joanna Koh

If you’ve tried Boscia Tsubaki Beauty Oil, you’ll love these two new launches from Boscia -Tsubaki Cleansing Oil-Gel and Tsubaki Deep Hydration Sleeping Mask (so asian-inspired!).

The Cleansing Oil-Gel (S$40) is a hybrid between cleansing oils and gels, with the ability to remove makeup while still protecting the skin.

With Tsubaki (Camellia) oil to firm and hydrate, Wakame to prevent fine lines, Rice bran oil to reduce dark spots and Allantoin to help with cell renewal, this cleanser isn’t just your regular face wash.

My mum’s feedback and review is that she loves how gentle it feels on her skin, without having the “stretched, tight” feeling that harsher facial washes cause. It also effectively removes her daily makeup, so she doesn’t have to use a separate makeup remover (she uses BB Cream, face powder, blush and lipstick daily if you’re wondering what type of makeup it’s removing).

Although formulated for all skin types, I recommend this cleanser for normal, dry and mature skin types.

What started out a few years ago as a purely Asian craze, the sleeping mask is now made by many American brands who have fans throughout Asia.
Boscia’s Tsubaki Deep Hydration Sleeping Mask (S$49) is an overnight cream mask for anti-aging effects for normal to dry  skin types.

I tried this out during the night that I slept with the aircon on, so I could protect my skin from the drying effects of AC. It has a soft, creamy texture to it, and the loveliest thing about this mask is the feminine, floral scent of Camellia oil that smells incredible!
With an immediate softening and smoothing effect, I could skip moisturiser in favour of this mask.
