It’s a very comprehensive post that looks at different ways to promote your content. Lots of good ideas, and I can highly recommend it.
My own contribution focused on an app called Click to Tweet. I only discovered it earlier this year. You need a Twitter account to use it.
Click to Tweet is a free link generator that allows readers to share your content through their Twitter account (which means we’re proceeding on the assumption that most people who read your posts will have a Twitter account).
Here’s how it works:
You start by finding a catchy one-liner in your blog post— something “tweetable.” A quote, perhaps, or a bit of advice.
For example, I said the following in a previous post: “Figure out new ways to tell your brand story. Don’t be the bore at the cocktail party telling the one we’ve all heard before.”
First step: compose the tweet, just like you would on Twitter: tweet text + short link to post + your Twitter handle + hashtags
For the above example:
“Figure out new ways to tell your brand story. Don’t be the bore at the cocktail party telling the one we’ve all heard before.” http://bit.ly/2IXEb2d via @mrstrongarm #marketing #contentmarketing #branding
Go to clicktotweet.com, type in your tweet, and click “Generate Link.” This will create a custom link for your tweet.
Use the generated link to create a hyperlink for the text you want shared.
Whoever clicks on the link will have the tweet automatically added to their Twitter status box: to send it, all they have to do is click “Tweet.”
They’ll be sharing your tweet (and the link to your content) with all their Twitter followers.

I went ahead and created a Click to Tweet link for the “Figure out new ways” quote. Here it is:
