Blog Commenting Or Social Media Commenting - Are You Doing It Right?

By Shoppingaholic @shoppingaholicc

I see some of us getting involved in catty comments on social media about "other bloggers" who they(former) do not approve of the way they(latter) portray their looks, write what they feel or how they hosted a giveaway. It makes me really sad to see such great personalities who are evolving to become more popular every day are doing this. We lack in encouraging others and supporting what others are doing. I think we should work on that. Though this is a democratic country and we all are free to do or say anything, negativity should not be the approach. A feedback is a great way to point out negatives and helping people improve.
Now's let's promise that if we don't like anything about our blogger friends and we want to vent away, it would be productive and constructive for that blogger friend, yourself and others. For instance, you do not like someone hosting a giveaway of used products, let's say this with an open ended probe - "I prefer not entering giveaways in which the prize is already used. How many of us agree or not - give reasons!" It will not only help the host understand if they are doing the right thing or not, it will also help you understand what majority of people want.
Last but not the least, if we can spend money on used products because a lot of us host Blog Sales, we can giveaway stuff for free. I remember when I started blogging back in 2008 and reading other blogs, Giveaways were hosted for such products which were not being used by the host.
This is something that I wanted to talk about since a long time and glad that I did today. I am definitely not preaching or teaching anything, this is just how I felt.
I have learned a lot of good things from blogging, I want to keep doing that. To those who are intimidated by something or someone, don't stop doing this. Your blog is your forte, do what you like but don't say what you always like because it may bully others. There are 100 people who read blogs, 5 out of those hundred love reading your blog too. Blog for those 5.
Happy Blogging, Friends!!
Lots of Love Jiya
