A new day has come for Nebraska traditions and rivalries. The 11:00 am game the day after Thanksgiving saw Nebraska defeating Iowa 20-7 in the new Big Ten rival game. The first-ever “Heroes Game” saw the blackshirts kick off this rivalry with a strong start.
Losing to Michigan in Ann Arbor was difficult last week, but today helped redeem that loss. Nebraska has not lost two in a row this season. Alfonzo Dennard and Lavonte David had a great seniors day game. With strong support of their teammates and fans they provided a big defensive show. Nebraska said goodbye to 21 seniors. Included in that list are Brandon Kinnie, Yoshi Hardrick, and Mike Caputo. This class is filled with a lot of talent. It will be sad to see them all go. This 20-7 win helped send them out with a big win.
"Black Friday" took on a new meaning for the Iowa Hawkeyes today as the Blackshirts controlled the game. The Fans in Memorial Stadium were as as loud as they could be on defense to send this 2011 season out strong. See more onhttp://www.hu...om/blogs/5261
