Benefit Thrrrob

You'll probably be thinking ..oh look, another Benefit boxed powder. But this one was too much of a bargain to miss and yes I have been stocking up on Benefit through blog sales again. I actually bought this blush months ago from the lovely Carlyn over at Smoking Peaches who was selling this beauty for just £1 (!!). Although the pan has been hit there is still plenty of product in there and Benefit's Thrrrob has definitely been my go to blusher when I'm looking for a very natural flush of the cheeks.
Thrrrob is a very light pink shade which does take quite a bit of building up if you want the colour to be very noticeable, but for me the slight hint of pink has been perfect especially now that the cold weather is leaving my cheeks pink enough already. I'd say that this shade would be best suited for paler skin like mine as the colour is fairly light and might not show up very well on darker skin tones. It also contains a slight shimmer which you might be able to see in the swatch above, and this is great for the days when you just can't be bothered applying highlighter too. Most specifically, those getting-ready-for-uni-in-a-rush days. As with all Benefit products the packaging is lovely and so well suited to the products name, with this "turned on" face powder featuring a corset design. I'd say the consistency of this powder is a bit on the chalky side but still easy enough to apply and blend so I really can't complain.
The big no-no for me with Benefit products comes down to the price unfortunately. At £23.50 I just couldn't justify spending so much money on a blusher so I'll be sticking to blog sales and money off deals online I'm afraid, although with Christmas coming up I may be putting the POREfessional on my list. All in all a lovely blush but not one that I'd pay full price for as I'm sure you could find cheaper light pink dupes from the more affordable brands out there. I also just want to say that Thrrrob is now discontinued so it would be pretty hard to get your hands on one if you're interested, and please be weary if you want to buy one from eBay as there are plenty of fakes being sold on there. What do you think about Thrrrob?
