Benefit They’re Real Push-Up Liner

By Hhepton

Eyeliner is something that a lot of us beauty lovers struggle with, but I can safely say that with Benefit’s new offering, they’ve got you covered! The They’re Real Push-Up Liner* is an interesting new concept in the fact that it’s a gel eyeliner in pen form, which you can twist up from the bottom of the tube. Not so interesting if this was pencil as most of them do that, but as someone who hates pencil eyeliner and isn’t a fan of liquid, I love how easy this makes applying gel liner. I’m usually a pot and brush kinda girl but doing that everyday means a lot of brush cleaning that I simply can’t be bothered with, so with this little Benefit beauty I can wear as much Alexa Chung style liner as I want without the hassle!

What I love most about the They’re Real Push-Up Liner* is the actual nib part, it’s basically a super flexible angled tip made out of some sort of rubber-like feeling material. It says it ‘hugs the lash line’, and I can see what they mean. The flexibility means it flows over the shape of your eye really easily, and because it’s quite soft there’s no pulling or anything against your eye. The eyeliner itself is supposed to be long-wearing and water proof, and whilst I can’t say whether it’s water proof or not (I haven’t been swimming recently!), it’s definitely long-wearing and I can get a good full day’s wear out of it without it even starting to think about fading. My only downside that I’ve found with the They’re Real Push-Up Liner is that if you twist up a little too much of the liner you can end up with quite a thick line, or a little chunk of liner that you need to try and kind of ‘spread out’. With a few practices though it’s quite easy to master pushing up the perfect amount each time. And the best thing about it being a tube? It won’t dry up as much as the gel liners you get in a little pot, double bonus!

What’s you’re favorite type of eyeliner? Do you think you’d like the new Benefit They’re Real Push-Up Liner? Let me in the comments as I’d love to know your thoughts! :)
