Instead of rooms, every guest will be assigned to a comfortable seat that's separated from your partner with a translucent curtain divider. The layout tickled me inquisitively for the layout reminded me of a modern hair salon.
Each seat is decorated minimally with everything you need for an express facial.
Once I was settled in my seat, Justina, their beautician was assigned to me today. She greeted me with a warm smile as she explained to me the treatment that I will be doing. After analyzing my skin condition, Aqua Peel and Cold Hammer were recommended to me.
I agreed to go with her recommendation and she immediately started lowering the chair so that I could lie down. I was handed a disposable shower cap and bib to protect my hair and clothe during the treatments.
Aqua Peel
Aqua Peel helps with deep cleansing via suction and brightening of the skin tone. Using a hand-held 'vacuum', one's whiteheads are sucked out of the pores. You can see the whiteheads stuck like grim at the side of the machine's head after. It was oddly satisfying. Although my whiteheads were extracted easily, my blackhead was still stuck. Further sessions are required if I want to get rid of them. This was recommended to ensure that the blackheads are removed from the pores safely without any risk of scarring.
I enjoy the Aqua Peel more than I would during a black and whitehead extraction during an extensive facial. I felt like the suction from the machine was rather enjoyable as compared to the manual extraction methods.
My face looked much brighter after the aqua peel. Due to the slight sensitivity around my cheek and nose area, it looked slightly flushed. More pressure was used around my nose for there were more whiteheads there.
Cold Hammer
Cold Hammer was used to shrinking pores; calm and repair damaged skin. This was recommended to me for, after years of trying out different skincare products and procedures have finally gotten to me. My skin has become slightly sensitive. A hydrating serum was dripped onto my skin as the vibration from the machine spread throughout my skin. It felt very calming as the chilly hammer lightly touched my skin at rapid speed.
After the treatments ended, moisturizer and sunscreen were put on my face so that I can head-on with my day with protection from the sun.
Before the treatment, my face was slightly flushed and dehydrated. The pores are clogged as well. After the treatment, my face looked brighter and slightly lifted. The pores were cleansed from the pesky whiteheads as well. There was redness from the aqua peel but it went off after a few hours.
