Hello!!! I’m back!! Miss me? Anyways let’s jump straight into the post which I’m going to talk about today! If you’ve seen my Instagram picture a few hours ago, you’ll see THIS picture on the table full of freebies in which you can get just by making 1 trip down to tangs! and today I’m going to show you how to get those. Let’s start:

I’m sure if you’ve been reading some of the other top notch beauty blogs or the Tangs page, you’ll come across a post where they are promoting the Beauty Treasures around the World event. After reading the post and going to their event page HERE, you may have decided to head down and check it out. However, as you’ve arrived at Tangs and prolly walk around the newly renovated boutique, the huge question of “Where do I get the passport & Boarding pass?” will probably pop up in your mind. How do I know this? Cause this happened to me.
Anyhow, I’ve solved that mystery and today I’m going to give you a step by step post on what you will experience as you partake in this event!:
First step:
You are going to need a boarding passport and boarding pass to start collecting these samples but where do you get it?
This event does not give you a free bunny. The bunny is mine; My handwriting is to horrible to be revealed therefore the covers.
The answer is actually very simple. All you have to do is go over to any of the participating brands counters and say: "Can I have a boarding passport and pass for the Beauty Treasures around the world event?"
and from there, they will prolly brief you on what you should do to get the free samples and services. In case, they do not, then I shall brief you ! :D
Participating brands:
- Lancome
- Kiehl’s
- Biotherm
- Shu Uemura
- Yves Saint Laurent
- Clarisonic
- Giorgio Armani
So after you got your boarding pass you are to fill in your particulars so that you do not need to repetitiously fill them up as you approach every counter. Just show them your boarding pass!
Note: At some counters they still do give you a form to fill in.
and as seen from above, at the back of your boarding pass there’s a map of Tangs Level 1 and the participating brands are colored so just head towards them! If you still can’t find the counters, just follow the Paris themed signs!
Next step:
Get your boarding pass stamps/ chops! The main purpose of this event is for you to experience free services, get free samples and enjoy the promotions (The main thing in which they are promoting is this Tangs beauty box [worth $200] in which you can get for $20 after you chopped minimum 4 stamps)
As expected, curious little me decided to try all their services and got myself all the different stamps!
Moving on to the first stop of the day!:
Lancome! Basically, the 2 min Aura Service is the week supply of samples! They even give you the bag!
Next stop!:
YSL (Yves Saint Laurent)! Upon reaching the counter, the sales representative will test out which foundation color suits you the best and then she will help touch up and give you a preview of what the foundation will look like on your face. After touching up, and such, you’ll receive your samples and stamp and off you go!
Third stop!:
Kiehl’s! Kiehl’s new boutique in Tangs looks like a store in a store so it’s quite easy to spot. Upon going there, just head right up to the counter and the person will ask you about your skin type and skin problems. Your samples will be prescribed according to your skin issues. (I felt that the process of how they take the samples are very cool for, I felt like I was in a Chinese herbal medicine shop where there are just cabinets of samples/medicine at the back of the counter just waiting to be prescribed)
The catch is you have to know your skin type and skin issues. So here are some common skin types:
- Normal
- Oily
- Dry
- Normal & Oily
- Normal & dry
- Dry & Oily (I don’t know if they have this)
Now skin problems!:
- Acne/ Pimples
- Dark circles
- Wrinkles
- Scarring
- Whitening
For me, I got samples for:
- 3 packs of cleanser for normal to oily skin type
- Acne cream
- Dark circles corrector
Fourth stop! :
Giorgio Armani! This stop is basically for you to get a perfume sample and a stamp. That’s all. NEXT!
Fifth stop!:
Shu Uemura! Basically, they were supposed to give you an eye make over and/or the samples. However, when I reached their counter, they just finished with 2 ladies’ eye make up so they just give me the samples.
Note: I’m not sure the eye makeup is for customers only or what so yeah…
Nevertheless, no complains for they gave quite a handful of samples so Yeah :D!
Last 2 stops are the services!:
At that time, the Clarasonic counter have used finished their clean brushes so they just give me a stamp :( However, at the Biotherm station, I managed to experience the Clarisonic’s brush power for I guessed they run out of “For her” treats.

Overall, I felt that this was a very good event to get freebies and services!
However a note of advice: Try not to go in the evening. You’ll still get your samples but the service standards are not that good after the staff gone through a whole day of serving the customers and doing the same thing over and over. I guess they are just tired. Plus, Some things like the Clarasonic brushes do run out by evening so take note of that too.
Nevertheless, if you just want the samples minus the services, go anytime.
HUGE NOTE: This is a promotion (sample collecting adventure) not to be missed and it will end on 31 October so be quick and head down to Tangs level 1 now before its over!
