If you’re a typical ‘girly girl’ in that you love your hair, make-up and other beauty products, it can be easy for other people to put you into a box as image obsessed and narcissistic. It’s so frustrating!
Just as the girls who choose to go fresh faced have more to them than their looks, so do you (total respect to them, FYI). Whether you’re kitted out in all the latest MAC, Nars and Smashbox or you haven’t brushed your hair today and you’ve no idea what contouring is, you’re still able to be or do whatever you want. So, just how DO you get involved in the more outgoing side of life – whilst still looking your best?!

Sports
There are seriously so many sports you can get into even if they’re not really your thing. In high school it may have been about getting muddy and taking out your aggression (and it still can be!), but there are a ton of ways to get involved from the sidelines as well. Cheerleading is an obvious choice, as many people who cheered throughout school can tell you. Yes, it’s a sport. No, it’s never too late to get involved. Sure, your average twenty-something isn’t so flexible as a spritely teenager, but this is a seriously kick-ass past time which allows you to look good whilst putting in some intense work.
If that’s still a bit much, how about some soccer betting? It’s a great way to take an interest but have a little bit of fun OFF the pitch.

Music
Sometimes the idea of a dimly lit room with a load of sweaty people you don’t know just doesn’t sound appealing. Other times, the room is also filled with really awesome (often attractive) musicians, and so it’s worth getting a little bit down and dirty just for the night! When you’re attending a show, there’s no need to sacrifice style. There are loads of ways to get grunge right and still totally on point – so have a look at Zoe London’s blog from the UK for a few ideas! From studs to skulls, there’s something to make you look the part but without making you feel out of your comfort zone.

Traveling
It’s okay. Some of us have dreams of traveling the world but we’re more of a ‘vacationer’ than a ‘traveller’. So what does that mean? Well, if the idea of backpacking with dreadlocks, unwashed hair and only two outfits sounds like your idea of hell, don’t worry, it is still possible to travel the world in style. You can still see all the temples, landmarks and beautiful clear-water beaches, but you can do it in a way that doesn’t make you feel gross. Of course, it might be pricier to stay in hotels as opposed to hostels and to pay for all that excess baggage, but it can still be done (albeit slightly less authentically). Either way, we should ALL aim to travel while we are young.
