Bargain Shopping: Cheap & Chic Handbags on a Budget

By Shauntee @shaunteebattie

Lets face it, we live in a world where a plastic purse can cost you over $1000.00 depending on the designer, and the average prices for a decent handbag rise every year. I own so many handbags until most of the time I forget I have them. I look in closet and its falls off the shelf or I’m looking for something else and I look in the duster and say “damn baby I forgot about you” and then I make it a point to carry it at some point. I’m a bargain shopper but I will admit that 99% of the purses I own cost me over $100.00 and some I won’t even disclose the amount I paid for them. Even though the outlets are cheaper, there prices can still be quite expensive. Every once in awhile I end up in the right place at the right time and I luck up on a deal. The bag pictured below is the Coach Poppy Applique Glam Tote, I found this bag at the Coach outlet on clearance for $89.00. The bag was sitting in an odd location when my mother grabbed it and said “this look like you” needless to say she was 100% right and when the clerk checked the price for me and told me it was $88 dollars and some change, I nearly passed out in the middle of Coach.

This year for Christmas, my sister asked me for an inexpensive metallic bag that was less than $100.00. I immediately told her that I honestly didn’t know where to shop for inexpensive purses and her response to me was “you’ll figure it out”. So I challenged myself to find 10 bags under or slightly over a $100.00 that I would carry and this is what I found. You can actually have some money left to put inside your new bag with these bargain busters.

Do you own any of these purses or maybe you’re carried the brand before? Sound off and let me know what you think
