Are you looking for a fun activity for your next girl's night out? It can be tough! You may not want to go out for drinks and clubbing like you did in your 20's. So what can you do instead? If you're of the age where all your friends are having baby showers, why not try a game of baby shower bingo?
Yes, I'm serious! Just look online for all the different kinds of baby shower games out there. Google "baby shower bingo" or "baby bingo" and you'll find card templates, card sets, and lots of fun variations on this simple game.
Think about it. Baby showers are a chance for your friends to give gifts to a new mother or mother to be and show her how much you care about her. The same items come up again and again. Bottles, blankets, diapers, and on and on. So why not make cute little bingo cards with these items on them and play bingo with the gifts you receive?
You can find a lot of free baby bingo cards online, or you can make up your own. Make sure all the gift options are on all the cards. Print out enough for your friends and one more for yourself. Cut your card up so the squares are separate, then put them in a hat or a baby bottle or some other fun object. Then just play bingo as normal. You can use little candies as something to mark the cards.
Or you can play directly with the gifts. As the mother to be opens the gifts their friends bring, guests can mark off the items that have been given until one (or more!) people get bingo! Not enough gifts to make a bingo? Use the squares you cut up to finish the game.
Finally, you'll need a prize (or several) for the winners. It doesn't have to be anything big, but it should be something memorable so the winner can think back on the fun you all had during your baby shower.
You can do this sort of thing with a lot of other party types too. Bachelorette parties could get quite racy this way! Or how about a wedding reception bingo party of some kind? Use your imagination to come up with lots of different ways to combine bingo with your girl's activities.
