I hope you had a good weekend. My today's review is another beauty from Avon again. It is a lipstick launched during Valentine's Day collection last year and since then has been featured many a times in their catalog. The lipstick I am talking about is Fresh Rose. I had reviewed the Coral Pink one before which was from the same collection and I absolutely love it. Let us see how this fares in my review...
Ingredients: not mentioned. Avon is cruelty free (does not test on animals) & 100% vegetarian.
Price: I had purchased it during a special offer for 120 bucks
Quantity: 3.5g
The lipstick comes in a hot pink tube just like most simply pretty lipsticks. They were a part of the Valentine's Day collection in 2011. The packaging is same as the normal Color Bliss Lipsticks. The cap shuts well and hence is travel friendly. It is sturdy as well. So overall it is decent in terms of packaging.
The lipstick can be best described as a lovely fresh pink color a bit on the darker side. On my pigmented lips it looks quite bright.Since the lipstick was a part of the Valentine's Day collection it has the word 'Love' engraved on the bullet. It is creamy and glides smoothly on the lips. One coat would be enough to give an opaque coverage. It's creamy formula makes the lipstick go outside the lips. I generally apply the lipstick and then blot it with tissue to give a lovely matte look. The lipstick does not contain shimmer at all.The lasting power is average as it is creamy but it is decent. The lipstick leaves a nice pinkish tint when the color fades away. The lipstick does not have any weird smell.
The Good:
Lovely bright color.Inexpensive.
Simple and sturdy packaging.
Travel friendly.
Creamy and moisturizing.
Opaque enough in one application.
No shimmer.
Cruelty free.
The not so Good:
May go outside the lips.Unavailable currently.
Ingredient list missing.
Rating: 4.5/5
This is a beautiful pink shade I absolutely love. For the price it is a steal. I totally love it and would recommend you to try it if you can find it.
Love,
