ATP Picks: Cincinnati

By Thetennistipster @Tennis_Tipster

Cincinnati

Last week in Toronto seemed a little lightweight, with 3 of the top 4 missing. This week, only Nadal is missing.

Federer goes for a 5th title, Murray his 3rd and Djokovic his 1st after 3 runner ups.

Let’s break it down:

ATP Level: 1000

Surface: Outdoor Hard

Defending Champion:
Novak Djokovic – Been overshadowed by his rivals of late and will look to make a statement on the hard courts, his back yard.

Nasty Floater: Tommy Haas – The Vet is ruining everyone’s hard court season, especially David Nalbandian’s.

Veteran Watch:
Radek ‘The Worm’ Stepanek – Knocked off some real playas last week and seems to love the US hard courts.

Up and Coming: Bernie Tomic – Having a bad year but has taken out Brian Baker already, so it could be a turning point.

Slumping: Donald Young – See last week.

On Fire: Jeremy Chardy – Already has taken out Roddick after his knocking off Tsonga last week.

My pick: Andy Murray – The guy now has a stamp and a gold letter box. His confidence is sky high.

Did You Know? Nine of the past 10 Western & Southern Open champions held the No. 1 ranking during their careers.
