There is talk of E-Cigarettes being unsafe, both as an alternative to smoking and as an electronic gadget. I say, it’s all in how you use it.
So this is my second post on electronic cigarettes. I have been using it for months now, and so I I feel that I am in a position to express my opinion about them. You may think that I am slightly biased, but to be fair, E-cigarettes have helped me quit smoking, so I can say that it really does work!
But are e-cigarettes safe? Recently, news came out of a man whose e-cigarette charger exploded and gave him second degree burns on his legs. This is terrible news, and definitely something to bring attention to if you are an electronic cigarette smoker or planning to be one! While this is something everyone should worry about, the best that you can do is take caution. So how can you avoid this?
1. Buy E-Cigarettes from trusted sources. Mine is a VIP Electronic Cigarette, and I received it in a sealed package, with each parts obviously brand new. If anything felt used or not up to standard, I can send it back without hesitation.
2. Only charge for the recommended mount of time. The manual would tell you how long it should be charging. This can damage your cigarette or worse, your legs. Make sure you use a safe wall socket with a surge protector like this one: Belkin SurgeMaster 6 Outlet Wall-Mount Surge Protector.
3. Smoke in moderation. Some people think that E-cigarettes give way for inhaling unlimited smoke. No. Everything should be done in moderation. The debate about whether or not it is dangerous for your health is still ongoing, but studies have shown that e-cigarettes are much better that real cigarettes. I say go with the lesser evil, if you can’t go cold turkey.
Whatever you do, be careful that you don’t overuse or overcharge your e-cigarette. This will also guarantee that you can use and enjoy it for a much longer time.
