April Favorites and Chit Chat

It has been quite sometime since I have done a favorites post. I think this month more than makes up for it because it includes some products that I am very excited about. I am also going to go ahead and apologize for the slightly blurry pictures. The lighting outside was crappy because it was raining and apparently my camera wanted to take the day off. Of course, right?
To start things off, I want to talk about the Kat Von D Shade + Light Collection. I have been loving every single one of these products. The contour kit is easy to blend and the shade selection is perfection. The same goes for the eyeshadow palette. I normally dislike matte eyeshadows, but I am slowly coming around. The accompanying brushes are also excellent. I have tried my other brushes with them, but Kat Von D's really enhance the application and definitely work the best.
Crest's new Pro Health HD Daily Two-Step Whitening Toothpaste and Gel System is one of my all time favorite things. I cannot stand the way white strips feel, so this is a wonderful alternative. I could tell a difference after the second use, and my moth feels really clean after using it. Must have. I may do a full review on this because I like it so much. Oh, and if you drink a lot of coffee, you absolutely need to try this. Coffee stained teeth are not cute.
I posted a review about this next product last week, but I have no problem singing its praises again. Kari Gran's Tinted Lip Whip is just amazing. It has banished my dry lips completely. I actually go into a panic if I can't find it. That is a bit dramatic, but the stuff is that good. You can read my review here.
Since my lips are no longer chapped (ew), I have been using a lot more liquid lipsticks. And I love them. My current favorites are Melted Ruby by Too faced and Bauhau5 by Kat Von D.
As a fair skinned gal, finding a flattering nude lip has been quite a challenge. Until now. This month, I have been constantly wearing (on days not wearing the above products, that is) Colour Pop's Lumiere Lippie Pencil topped with MAC's Creme Cup. The result is perfection. I'll do a complete post on my current go to look in the coming days.
And now for the rare skincare pick. I say rare because skincare is personal, and I have this fear of something I recommend messing up someone's skin. Therefore, I tend to keep my opinions on skincare products to myself. But I like this stuff a lot. I picked up the Soap & Glory Vitamin C Facial Wash since it was on sale at Sephora. And I have been quite pleased with it. My skin is clear and doesn't dry out my face too much. Plus the bottle is huge and it will last a long time.
In addition to the Kari Gran lip whip, I have been using Kaplan MD's Perfect Pout Lip Mask + Lip Balm Duo. I love using this stuff in the morning. My lips do look more full and they feel softer. I also prefer to use this in the morning because it does have an SPF. Kaplan MD does have full size versions of each product, but this is a great way to try them out. And the small size will last quite awhile.
So, there you have it. I have been trying out a lot of new stuff this month and these are at the top of the pack. I will be reviewing the Kat Von D products soon, as well as posting reviews for the Kaplan MD duo and doing an "everyday face" post. And can you believe that May is already here? This year is going by so quickly. Which I am not complaining about because it has been a rough one so far. Hope everyone has a great Friday and first day of May? Speaking of, have you seen the Justin Timberlake "Its going to be May" meme going around? I love it! Lol.
