Apple Picking ~ Weekend in Review

By Laura @BEBookworm

This past weekend, Chad, Luna and I went up to Wiarton. Of course, my wonderful mother brought us delicious baked good from Harvest Moon. Cookies, brownies and a plum crisp.

On Saturday, after a bit of a rainy morning, we went over to our friend’s new farm go apple picking. I had forgotten my camera, so these were taken with our tablet.

Chad heading down the field to the apple trees. Apple picking we will go!

We got to take home a full bushel of heirloom St. Lawrence apples. Chad’s going to make cider with them. Excuse my messy hair. It was rainy and windy. My boots were CAKED in mud by the time we were done. Worth it though!

A pair of Downy woodpeckers at Grandma’s feeder. The female eats while the male stands guard on the wall. Oh and Hi Grandma in the window.

Pokey little snail in Grandma’s garden after the rain.

Of course we spent lots of time with my nephew. We did a mini photo shoot with him. He was pretty good, but aside from this one, I got lots of shots of blurry kicking feet.
