A LETTER TO THE RPWVT COACHES & PLAYERS
Greetings from the Philippine Volleyball Federation!
First of all, may I congratulate and offer my deepest gratitude for your commitment and time in rendering your skills and talents to represent the Philippines as a member of the Philippine Womens Volleyball National Team in the Asian Senior Womens Volleyball Championship this September 13 to 22, 2013 in Thailand.
Through the years of inactivity and bad decision making, we have been unable to send a legitimate team to represent our country in international events. Now, with renewed direction and structure being implemented and with the help of individuals such as Mr. Manny V. Pangilinan, Mayor Criselda Antonio, and other volleyball stakeholders such as Shakey’s VLeague and our other sponsors, as well as a renewed partnership with the POC and PSC, we hope that the National Team Program will now continue to build on regaining the glory years of Philippine Volleyball outside of the country.
I’m sorry for not being present as of the moment due to health reasons and the hectic schedule of my personal affairs here in Tacloban. I have been monitoring the teams progress and preparation and I’m confident that our Secretary General Dr. Otie Camangian, National Team Director Dr. Ian Laurel, the coaching staff, PVF Directors and staff and SCORE have been doing a great job in putting the team together and accomplishing all the documents needed for the team.
So may I now offer my best wishes to your campaign in the Asian Senior Womens Volleyball Championships and I along with the whole Philippine volleyball nation will be praying for your success. This is the gauge for which the team will be evaluated for the FUTURE, so let us strive to give our best. It is not if we win or lose but it is how we have played the game… with PRIDE and HEART for OUR COUNTRY. Mabuhay kayong lahat!
Grow the game and keep the ball flying forever!
Sincerely,
Karl Chan
Acting President
