Alikiba Signing Rich Mavoko After His Exit from Diamond’s Wasafi?

Rich Mavoko quit Wasafi Records sometimes in August this year after clashing with top management. The singer had been signed to the label for two years, he joined Wasafi from King Kaka’s record label Kaka Empire.Mavoko complained of constant pressure from Wasafi to release several songs without taking a break. He also claimed his contract with the label was exploitative.He sought the intervention of Tanzania music regulatory board- Basata to quit Diamond’s label without Wasafi taking him to court for breach of contract.

Rich Mavoko opened up about his future during an interview on East Africa Radio’s Planet Bongo. He dismissed claims that he was in the process of being signed by Alikiba.The ‘Ndegele’ singer revealed that he will be working with his own newly formed label ‘Bilionea kid’.“Niweke wazi tu, kiukweli mimi sihitaji kwa sasa kusainiwa katika uongozi wowote ule, ninafanya kazi zangu mwenyewe chini ya ‘Bilionea kid’ ambayo ninaisimamia mimi,” said Rich Mavoko
