Anchor & Plane bangles*
Adoring Ava is a fairly new shop that started this year selling quirky jewelry that is vintage inspired, kitch, and rock/indie chic fashion inspired pieces to adorn yourself with. Like most brands nowadays, Adoring Ava are on Facebook and Twitter. They recently contacted me asking if I would like to join a host of other bloggers and tweeters to choose an item from their shop for review.
I popped over to their website and oo'd and arr'd over everything. Taking the time to look at everything individually. Half an hour later I finally chose this Anchor and Plane bangle set as its nothing like anything else I own. The set of two bangles retails for £10, which I think is pretty reasonable, along with the pricing on all their other pieces. Especially seeing as places like Topshop want £10 for a pair of gold hooped earrings.
The bangles themselves feel really sturdy and strong, and not like they aren't going to break or fall apart after a week, unlike most jewelry you find on the high street. I doubt I'm the only one thats sick of buying a necklace, wearing it once and they it breaking! The cream and black on the bangles has a nice high shine finish. The inside of the bangle and the anchors and planes are of a nice quality faux gold which surprisingly doesn't look cheap, and that is definitely hard to come buy at such low prices.
I ordered the bangles from their website on the afternoon of 5th March and they arrived nicely and securely packaged on the 9th March, which I think is a pretty good delivery time. The only thing I will say, is that I think their shipping price seems a bit high at £2.95. Other than that I would honestly recommend Adoring Ava to friends, family and followers.
Oh and one last thing I would like to add before I go is that the people behind the company have been lovely to communicate and deal with, and have not put any pressure of me to blog or tweet about them, and didn't ask me to include anything, which is really refreshing!
Have you checked out Adoring Ava? What do you think? I'd love to hear your thoughts!
