His professional pursuits began at the Joan and Sanford I. Weill Medical College of Cornell University in New York City, earning his Doctor of Medicine, finishing top of his class. After graduation, Dr. Mayer completed a residency in surgery at New York Presbyterian Hospital - Weill Cornell Medical Center in New York City.
Before founding the practice, Dr. Mayer practiced surgery for over thirty years, serving in the North Shore Long Island Jewish (LIJ) Medical Center Health System in New York. Dr. Mayer is also an award-winning hair restoration specialist. He has performed thousands of successful hair restoration procedures throughout his career and continues to offer his patients cutting-edge robotic hair replacement as a same-day procedure.
