Minneapolis quartet A. Wolf & Her Claws is an electronic side-project featuring members of various bands from the local avant-garde indie scene. Their self-titled is a hotchpotch of styles. Singer Aby Wolf is into jazz, dubstep and hip-hop. She shines when she can tackle slow piano song like Disassemble. Sharing vocals with keyboard player Linnea Mohn during Alice is as close as anyone is going to get to sound like the Mediaeval Baebes. The sparse Pluto, with the lyrics almost delivered as spoken top on top of a quirky back-beat before going into full Kate Bush mood, is the kind of track that will baffle the hipsters and scare the mainstream kids. This Wolf pack has teeth and they are not afraid to use them.

A. Wolf & Her Claws:
Aby Wolf: vocals
Joey Van Phillips: drums, vibraphone
Linnea Mohn: keyboards, vocals
Jesse Whitney: synths, programming
