The star from channel 4′s My Transsexual Summer is back bigger than ever and as a celebration to becoming a fashion/makeup blogger for WildChildMedia, she has decided to focus on a few trends for this winter season.Makeup is about expressing yourself. we can create so many different faces when slapping the war paint on, you can become whoever you want to be.
The first look were going for is a very sexy Brigitte Bardot look.
This season vintage is in! think Lana Del Rey, tousled curls swept to the side.
A nice black smokey eye with a nude lip, it’s all about the eyes.
To create this look use products such as illamasqua medium pencil in Sophie all over the eye as a base then set with powder eyeshadow in obsidian this will really give a more intense smokey eye, make sure you blend so the edges are not too harsh
Finish off by adding a matt lipstick in illamasqua test and a gloss over the top using illamasqua intimacy, this will make it a much more pouty Jessica Rabbit look.
Use illamasqua blusher in lover and finish off by using bronzing duo to give a bit more of a glow.
Adding a beauty spot can also really help finishing the look.
Fur is a big thing this season, not only does it keep you warm but its also taken straight from the old Hollywood glamour scene. very Marilyn Monroe and Jane Mansfield. its all about being sexy but at the same time with a classic twist.
To be in with the vintage trend. Topshop as well as the Lana Del Rey clothing line in H&M are great stores to get a vintage fashion from, adding broaches to other pieces such as woolly hats, scarfs and coats can really help give you that old school glamour. Another key word this season is TWIST, its all about creating your own pin up and using a modern take on the movie stars.
Changing a classic red lip to a black and still keeping the same contoured eye really adds drama. winter is all about blacks, plums and reds on the lips.
A great lipstick for those who are too afraid to go for a red or black lip is illamasqua lipstick in magnetism, it compliments every skin tone with its lush plum colour, its still got drama with it being dark, but it has a lovely smooth silky texture to it which is also great for those who want to wear a lipstick but have dry lips.Iit will help add a bit of moisture to the lip without it cracking.
Hair this season is again all about glamour, curling the hair and backcombing at the roots and sweeping it to the side can add two looks. Its great for the evening as it looks very well groomed and is also great for the day especially if its a bit more messy it looks like you have rolled out of bed yet you still look super glam. To create this start off by sectioning the hair and curling them using a straightener or curling iron both work. If you don’t know how to curl hair look on YouTube for tutorials. Letting the curls set with hairspray then leave and go to the next section, once your hair is all curled start by brushing through the curls to loosen them up a bit, and use your fingers to make it a bit more mess. then leave or set using hairspray.
If you want to be different and your not afraid to bring out your alter ego, then again taking the old Hollywood pin up look and adding your own spin on things really makes people look. Taking a black liner and lining the lips then adding a nice nude lipstick such as sonnet by illamasqua in the centre of the lip and blending the black inwards really creates drama. The OMBRE LIP is a big fashion statement lip at the moment. so if you want to stand out but still follow trends then this is the lip for you.
