A Quick Review and Swatches of M.A.C Enchanted Eve Eyeshadow Palette in Warm

By Kwilliford @ExquisiteEczema
As per usual, M.A.C has released a ton of gift sets for Holiday 2015. I find this years layout to be particularly eye catching because of the jewel tone packaging mixed with the black. There is a mix of old favorites and new products, too. If you are curious about M.A.C products, this is a great way to try them out. I have found three new favorite products thanks to a few of the Enchanted Eve sets. But this eyeshadow palette didn't do very much for me. I have only used it twice, but that was enough for me. It is a no go, sadly.

These eyeshadows are very dupable, and you can get better quality with less money. With this palette you get six eyeshadows: a shimmery light peach, shimmery champagne, matte light tan, shimmery taupe, matte medium brown, and a matte gray toned brown.

I don't like these eyeshadows. They are not very pigmented, with the exception of the shimmery taupe. That is the only good shade in the palette. The mattes are patchy and hard to blend. I had to really work with the shadows to get a decent looking eyeshadow look out of them. If you use an eyeshadow primer or M.A.C Painterly Paint Pot, then they perform better. But the pigment is still not that great.

They do wear pretty well, though. When you eventually get a decent eye look out of the darn thing, the shadows do not move or crease. I'll give them that much.
The packaging is perfection. Every smaller eyeshadow palette needs to be done like this. This thing is sturdy with a strong magnetic closure. At times it can be a little tough for me to open. It is made of ribbed hard plastic that has 4 jewel tone stripes running across the bottom. It is simplistic, but beautiful. And it has a hinged mirror! This thing would be amazing to travel with. I wish the eyeshadow quality were better because it would be coming with me on vacation this month.
Save your $39.50 for something else. Other than the packaging, this palette is a dud. If you want to check it out for yourself, you can find it at M.A.C counters and online at Nordstrom. Macys, Belk, and M.A.C's website.
