For our honeymoon, my husband took me to paradise. It truly was the most beautiful place I have been. I could not believe my eyes.
We began the new year watching the sunrise from an island in the Maldives. Here are some photos of our adventure.
The self-timer comes in useful when you are on your honeymoon and there is no one to take photos of the two of you together!
“Everything carries me to you. As if everything that exists, aromas, lights, metals, were little boats that sail toward those isles of yours that wait for me.”
Pablo Neruda
“Meditate. Live purely. Be quiet. Do your work with mastery. Like the moon, come out from behind the clouds. Shine.”
Siddhartha Gautama
This gorgeous banyan tree stole my heart. At night, it would be covered in glittering lights. We called it the “tree of life” because it reminded us of the tree from Avatar. And every time that we walked under it we were like “Wooooooowwww”.
“Do not feel lonely, the entire universe is within you.”
Rumi
Watching the waves. There is something almost mesmerizing about the ocean. The waves, they come and go, without fail. They crash and the collapse, and then they become strong again. The waves became more powerful after the sun sets and the moon rises. This kind of frightened me. There is just something about the ocean that is too big for me to comprehend sometimes.
Water so clear and glittering.
Searching for more banyan trees.
Just two yogis on the beach.
….Not a bad way to wake up every morning.
New Year’s Eve decorations.
At the club-house where we have breakfast.

The beginning of so many adventures together. The most important one being our togetherness always.
Walking along the beach, ankle deep in the warm indian ocean.

Sometimes all you can do is become an observer of the beauty, without needing to be a part of it.
Writing love letters in the sand…
There is something intense yet hushed about this eyes-closed photo. Eyes closed, heart open.
Chasing the sunset.
Breakfast and a flower from my husband for my hair.
Cool dude! Who got pretty much got a obligatory photography masterclass from me teaching him how to take the “right photos” (for example, not ones that are directly up my nose. He learned a lot!)
Pool fun!
Dinner dates and our tree…
“Immerse yourself in the ocean of beautiful thought”
A few selfies here and there, naturally.
How wonderful!

Each morning we woke up at 5:00am to watch the sunrise and so that my husband could practice his Kriya. Then we would go for an early breakfast and explored the beaches.
Holding hands and sipping on juice.
Blue. Such a vibrant color.
Bursting with gratitude for every moment of this life, and the rest of my life that I am blessed to spend with him.
All my love to all of you….
