” A Feast Fit for a Birthday King ” | Rhubarb, Prestonfield

By India Struthers @India_Alexandra

So we left it last time with a “tame picnic in the glorious sunshine”, obviously fa didn’t spend his Birthday quite like that … We had been out to Prestonfield the evening before for a delicious supper which has just been waiting to be documented except that I a) had to cut down on the photos and b) excuse myself from enjoying all this beautiful weather to edit and write the post! Apologies, apologies, anyway here it is ( and you can look forward to a good handful of juicy posts coming soon, including a special invite by Grey Goose … ). We last visited Rhubarb at Christmas time // see post // which utterly divine and decadent-ly superb and delicious. It was a perfect start for Christmas, but how nice it was to visit it for a summertime supper. Although we go regularly for afternoon tea ( with a couple of glasses of wine ) and perhaps also a few evening nibbles, I was looking forward to enjoying another meal there. First things first though ( and especially after a very busy day at work ) a glass of chilled champagne is a must ! Let’s talk a little fashion though ...
