A Doubles Tennis Drill: The T-To-T

By Jen Campbell @TennisLife_Mag

Hey everyone!

Drills are key for those wanting to take their tennis game to the next level because they teach strategy, tactics and movement through repetition.

This is a great drill that I call "T-to-T". With 2 players up at net and two players behind the baseline, the latter practices hitting hard and low to the three Ts (the middle and both side corners of the service boxes.) This forces higher, weaker returns will give the defensive team at the baseline the offensive edge they need to take control of the point.

Not only does this drill teach players where to hit the ball, but it also teaches them how to move with the ball and work with their partner.

Work on this with your teammates and afterward, use it in a practice match.

As always, my goal is to give all of you the tips and tools you need to be the best tennis players you can be. If you have any questions about rules, or situations that happened to you, please tell me about it in the comments section below and I'll address it in a future video! Also, be sure and share my posts with your tennis friends, and connect with me on and Youtube! I also have 2 new accounts so be sure and follow these as well: and .
