5 Ways I Am Spending Fun Time with My Daughter

Hello beautifuls, I hope all of you are having a great summertime. It's been a couple of weeks since we moved to the US for my husband's work, and we will spend the summer here. Summer is beautiful where we are now, and we are having a great time. Especially since my daughter is home-schooling, we get a lot of time to spend together. And we have been doing many things together to spend the free time that we both have whenever she is not studying or playing with her new friends.

5 Ways I am Spending Fun Time with My Daughter

1. Reading books together: Thankfully, the house we live in now has many books for children, and we have made it a point to read together daily. Sometimes she reads out, and sometimes I do. It's so much fun. We also set goals like who can read the maximum pages without fumbling or pronouncing every word correctly. This way, she can improve her vocabulary and diction.

2. Doing chores together: My daughter likes to keep herself busy and willingly helps me whenever I do household chores. So be it fetching clothes after laundry, arranging things in the morning, making our beds or filling water, she lends me her helping hand, and I never discourage her. This is how to build a foundation for kids to do their work and take responsibility without depending on others.

3. Playing online games together: I know it sounds offbeat; however, if I say the games we play are actually helping her learn a lot about calculating, saving and dealing with money, then it makes quite a difference. I have found a few games we have played once or twice and love. The best part is my daughter is learning to calculate fast and cautiously. Here are some games she has enjoyed playing a couple of times and is willing to play in future to master the levels.

Grocery Cashier: This game is a fun game where kids can practice simple addition and subtraction. They also can differentiate between Dollar and Dime, decide about the changes etc. It is fun and straightforward, but much attention is required while playing it. It helps the kids focus and do money transactions in a given time.

Treze Coins: This game is visually appealing to kids because of the colourful Coins. It has a few levels, and you can select from them. This game is excellent for improving patience in kids. Initially, it looks pretty easy; however, as we progress, we discover how much patience and practice it requires to master it.

Mortgagecalculator.org  has such excellent games which we can play online from the desktop with kids. These games not only entertain but also help develop specific skills.
4. Watching movies: Back home, we watched a movie on weekends. I am still following that here. We have watched quite a few enjoyable films that are fun to watch with family. My daughter likes to cosy up between my husband and me on the couch and cherishes watching the movies over a bowl of popcorn.
5. Pure fun time: We are lucky to have a great backyard. Since my husband goes to work every day, we spend time in the backyard simply playing around or taking a lazy stroll in the alley. We both enjoy the lovely backyard full of colourful wildflowers buzzing with bees and chirping with squirrels around. We play various games and take pictures and videos together. It feels like revisiting my childhood once again. It is a beautiful feeling to bring out our inner child, and once in a while and if it's with your daughter, nothing better than that.

So this is how I am spending my time with my daughter. We both love it, and I am sure she will also cherish these moments later.
