This the durian season to be jolly…fa la la la la!! We know it’s a little tad late to post this question but hey, the season’s not yet over. We hope you are having a good time eating the King of Fruits as much as we do.
How’s your durian today?
1. Year Of The Durian
Source: yearofthedurian.com
We came to know about this blog called the Year of the Durian. It was set up by couple Rob and Lindsay (above) who are passionate (and obsessed) about the King of Fruits that they embarked themselves on a journey around Southeast Asia exploring (and tasting) different kinds of durians. Oh and they recently exposed a local durian seller trying to scam them with cheap durians. The seller didn’t know who he was dealing with, thinking the two Caucasians who know nothing about the fruit (and they probably qualify for a PhD in Durianology I guess…hahaha!).
2. Durian Haven
Source: durianhaven.com
Durian Haven is a very informative blog started by late durian enthusiast Shunyam Nirav who documents and photographs down everything about durians. It was previously on Durianpalace.com but the site has since been taken down. The blog goes down to the basics of durians; it starts from ground-zero answering question like “What is a durian?” to teaching you how to grow durians and the one topic everyone probably wants to know – How to select durians.
3. Dedicated to Durians
Source: stinkyspikes.wordpress.com
Dedicated to Durians is another humorous durian enthusiast who shares her adventures looking for durians wherever she goes. The word looking for durians does not limit to the fruit itself but really, if it’s anything concerning the fruit, it goes into this blog. Fans of durians, curious minds and anyone can come over here for some durian news.

Craving for some durians now? Let ieatishootipost guide you to places to eat the exotic fruit. Dr Leslie Tay has a good list of durian places (along with detailed reviews of course) in Singapore that you can pop by to eat.
5. HungryAngMo

HungryAngMo’s blog English owner Luke Otter has created a list of trusted durian seller in Singapore through his post here: Trusted Durian Sellers in Singapore. Not just a list of honest durian sellers, he includes the types of durians each seller is selling plus his full reviews on them coupled with their stall addresses.
Have a good stinky yet deliciously bitter-sweet (or just sweet) good durian time! Oh and my hands still smells good after durians!
