Justice James Wakiaga on Tuesday October 30th granted Jacque Maribe bail after after a month-long incarceration. The judge however denied her fiancé Joseph Irungu bail.The Citizen TV anchor secured Kes 2 million surety bond with an alternative of Kes 1 million cash bail with three sureties of a similar amount.The judge said there was no likelihood of Maribe skipping bail because she is a well-known television personality with many connections and strong family ties.“She is a single mother of a young child who needs her presence. The law gives the mother a lot of responsibility of bringing up a child and it is only fair if she stays with the child during the period of her trial to teach him how to become a better citizen,” Justice Wakianga ruled.
