2015.....Where Do the Steelers Start?
By Kipper

The dust hasn't really settled yet from last night's loss, but it's time to review and establish where to go in 2015. Will the front office dare to make the changes needed to bring this team back to the top of the NFL?
I'm wondering about coaching and talent evaluation? I'm wondering about releasing or not renewing contracts of players that are keeping us anchored in mediocrity? I'm wondering if they will finally begin to pursue better free-agents? Will they start to finally address the defensive secondary and offensive line? Will they find a back to compliment Bell?
I was so disappointed in the performance in all 3 aspects of the game last night.....Along with the stupid penalties taken. The refs didn't do us any favors, but we shot ourselves in the foot last night. It's time to get the attitude back that made the Steelers one of the most feared teams to play against.....Time to get some nasty back. It starts at the top.....Will the Rooneys have the balls to change the culture?
Fire Colbert Haley, and force LeBeau into retirement. Keep Tomlin.
First 5 rounds of draft should be all defense. Need CB, NT, and probably more linebackers.
You mean, Cam Thomas, Cortez Allen, Wing, Jason Worilds, Mike Mitchell and here's the biggie, Dri Archer is not the answer to this teams hopes and prayers ?
The one thing that we should all be grateful for is that we didn't lose last night because "we're too old and we no longer have it." Rather, "we didn't play our best and/or we're not there yet." Big difference.
Honestly, I don't think offense really needs anything. Besides a backup running back and maybe a Grad replacement or line depth, there's nothing there that we need to address. What we need is, like IPF said, address the defense first, especially the secondary. I think first we start at cornerback (I like Kevin Williams from Wake Forest). Draft a safety as well, another cornerback (or two) and then go out and at least make a Pirates-like value signing in free agency at secondary. Then we should go after depth for the d-line. I'm okay with a Tuitt-McL-Haywood line going forward, but the guys behind them needs addressed. Like IPF said, we need to dedicate the draft this year fully to defense. Only exception would be running back (even then I want a quality RB in free agency). Also, punting situation should be examined as well. Decisions, decisions...
offense needs to put up points
Our punting was atrocious this year! Defense wins championships, and that's something that the front office has forgotten.
Coaching.....Somebody needs to tell Wheaton that if you catch the kickoff 6-8 yards deep in the end zone, you take a knee.....His return attempts left us short of the 20 far more than past the 20 this season. Otherwise, I think he's a good add as a receiver.
I'm glad Ben Tate is one-and-done in the backfield. I'll agree with picking up a proven FA to accompany Bell......Just need to make sure he's not another Blount.
