Global Wind Day started off as a European celebration in 2007 and has gone Global since 2009. The event takes place worldwide with various activities happening in cities and countries all over the planet. Activities such as visiting various wind farms, meeting experts and scientists, attending events and learning more about wind energy.
Another focus that it helps provie is global recgonition of all the work and efforst that have been completed so far. In fact now there are over 75 countries around the world that have sort of wind farm capicty operating daily and providing clean energy from a renewable energy source.
