the fixed gear riding hipsters, and it's also one that I never quite
understood. Is it a hood or a scarf? Oh... it's both. Don't be lazy,
fashion isn't lazy & this scood (scarf + hood) is far from
fashionable.
nail trend. I loved the idea of having printed nails, yet once
everyone purchased the Sally Hansen Salon Effects nail stickers,
it got to be quite tacky. Nothing else to say, I really did like
them & I am actually kind of sad about their demise.
No, actually I am not.
the idea of the color blocking, if you can color block properly.
When color blocking got taken to shoes & purses, I was very
turned off. A deep purple silk blouse and a turquiouse necklace,
cute. A neon yellow, hot pink, and green pair of suede pumps...
not so much. Color blocking, when done right, may even show
up a bit in 2012, once people re-learn the idea of "less is more".
care if you are 80 pounds, harem pants are the most unflattering
garment I have ever seen. The hammer pants lost popularity
for a reason, you are not M.C. Hammer or a Genie.
extensions once, for about 10 minutes. The concept was
a good one, but they got played out quick. The day Ke$ha
wore them should have been a hint for everyone, and their
mom. As far as tinsel extensions go... just cause Beyonce
can have sparkly hair, it doesn't mean you can too.
You are a girl, you do not have a mustache, why do you
want to pretend you have one? Only for Movember was
mustache jewelry acceptable, and that's simply because you
were raising awareness & money for prostate cancer.
when I was about 7 & floral printed overalls were supposedly
considered "cool". News flash, they were NOT cool then,
and they are most definitely not cool now.
could pull these off, great. I couldn't, and that's just fine because
I really was never a fan in the first place. They make you look
like you have a mom butt gone grunge. Not to mention, you
would often see people wearing these beauties with a pair of
lace bike shorts underneath, simply because the rips/tears/studs/
and color wasn't enough flair... hmm, ok.
I just don't get the appeal. Sure they are probably comfortable
while still making you taller, but when was comfort a part
of fashion? As much as I once loved the Spice Girls, there is
no need for their footwear to make a comeback. If anything,
I'd much rather their music make a comeback (not sorry).
many of us do not... (it's okay, I am sure it is one of your
resolutions) please avoid crop tops. There are some things people
just don't need to see. For those of you that are sad cause you still
want to show some skin in 2012? Don't fret... I have a trend forecast
that I think you'll really love- so stay tuned!
