This song reminds me of so much of Shankar Mahadevan that I couldn’t believe that his son, Siddharth crooned this number because he sounds so similar to his father. Undoubtedly, this track will serve as a very good singing debut for him.

Coming to the video, which I think is self-explanatory and in fact reveals more than expected. It subtly allows you to do a character study of Milkha, played by Farhan, a rebellious kid-turned-national running champion.  You can very quickly infer that it’s about a hot headed Sikh who puts his anger to running for a reason which will be disclosed in the film.

It was revealed in the first teaser that this story of the Flying Sikh will unearth an unknown side. The lyrics too hint that Milkha has a darker side on the inside as well as on the outside, but he is truthful at heart.

Music by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy, especially the opening guitar prelude is splendid. It’s such an energetic song backed by slick visual and crisp editing.
