Zelda and Animal Crossing Join Mario Kart 8

If the Mercedes Benz DLC pack for Mario Kart 8 wasn’t up to your high standards, perhaps something with a much more Nintendo-heavy flavor will keep you happy. The next two DLC packs for Mario Kart 8 will feature two of Nintendo’s biggest games: The Legend of Zelda and Animal Crossing.

The Legend of Zelda X Mario Kart 8 DLC will release in November on the eShop for £7.00. The pack includes Tanooki Mario and Cat Peach as racers. Thankfully it also includes Link as a racer too, which is a good job since this pack wouldn’t be very Zelda-like without him!

Animal Crossing X Mario Kart 8 releases much later in May 2015, and includes an Animal Crossing Villager, Isabelle, and Dry Bowser.

The packs both include four new tracks each, with both classic tracks given a HD makeover, and new tracks based on The Legend of Zelda and Animal Crossing. There will also be four new karts in each pack, including the Blue Falcon from F-ZERO.

Buying both of the packs will also net you eight different color versions of Yoshi and Shy Guy.
