YSL Announces Name Change

Since the announcement of Hedi Slimane to YSL, there has been constant speculation about his plans. Well, while we have all been speculating as to what he will bring to the brand, he has been deciding what he will take away. The answer, if you’re wondering, is its name.

Yes, YSL have today announced that they are to re-brand and are planning a name change. WWD published the news this morning that YSL have confirmed their name will be changing to Saint Laurent Paris. The re-brand is expected to take place in time for Slimane’s first Spring/Summer 2013 collection. Despite this controversial move however, the iconic YSL logo is expected to remain.
