Your Character Shows on Your Face

By Shawnaschuh

Christian Bovee once said,

Smiling all the time

“Something of a person’s character may be discovered by observing how he smiles.”

This is interesting –

I took it to mean that when we smile at others, old, young, those hurting or in joy, how we relate to others says the most about us.

A smile, the small turn up of the lips as we look upon others, does indeed say a great deal about us.

This morning on our early morning accountability call, one of the members shared how they had recently helped with a man who had a seizure while driving ahead of them.

They were the first to notice and respond, driving directly behind the man. Then the first car they stopped to help contained a nurse so people moved quickly to save the man in trouble.

What was interesting however was that the man in trouble came in and out of consciousness and each time he did – he was smiling.

What does that say about him?

Would it be the same with us?

So as you go about your day – be aware of the expression on your face – what does it say about your character?

Can you smile more today?

Something to make you smile:

A family of tomatoes was walking down the street and after a while the little boy tomato started to lag behind.

The father tomato turned round and called: “Ketchup!”

You Create Your Day by the way You Think! Be Present!

Go make it a Magnificent Day!
