A new electropop songstress to keep an eye on is Washington D.C.’s Young Summer because this lady’s got something special. In a wave of excellent singles from her soon-to-be released album, Siren, “Blood Love” is the massive third installment. Bobbie Allen’s (aka Young Summer) warm and seductive voice soars gracefully over pulsating beats and wavering synths. The song explodes with a sing-a-long chorus similar to Wild Honey Pie favorite Zella Day. A dark track with an effortless feel, “Blood Love” is a song about her intimate relationship with music that captures both the happy and dark times. Siren, which is out on August 26th, is sure to be an album not to miss.
