Q
uotes from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia...I first came a cross Young Guns just by chance in 2010 and soon found myself falling in love with their powerful sounds of "Rock" and quality of the instrumental competence from this UK band! The song that got me personally hooked was (Weight of the World) from their 2010 Album - All Our Kings Are DeadFor me, it was the words to the song. I was going through a tough time due to having my Daughter Millie born 10 weeks early and just needed some kind of release from the pain, plus emotional state I found myself in."Weight Of The World"A continent of doubt weighs heavy on mind,
How long can my brittle bones bend,
Before they yield and snap?
I don't wanna know, 'cause I'm so scared,
It's not gonna get easier than this,
Because it's too much to bare my darlin', the weight of the world,
And I would carry it for you,
But please don't ask me to because the
Weight of the world is a burden I can't bare.
Is a burden I can't bare.
Maybe it's gravity, that pulls her to my chest,
Not the fear that she is the source of what little strength I've got left,
I don't wanna know, 'cause I'm so scared,
It's not gonna get easier than this
Because it's too much to bare my darlin', the weight of the world,
I would carry it for you,
But please don't ask me to because the
Weight of the world is a burden I can't bare.
My horizon lies a jagged line,
Ooh I can clearly see,
The mountains that I've yet to climb,
I'll get there if it kills me.
Because it's too much to bare my darlin',
The weight of the world,
And I would carry it for you,
But please don't ask me to because the
Weight of the world is a burden I cant bare.
Is a burden I can't bear.
And I would carry it for you,
But please don't ask me to,
Because the,
Weight of the world,
Is a burden I can't bare.
Have followed them & their music from way back when they first started.
In 2015 Young Guns announced they were touring round October in the UK
The venue is also available for private hire and specialist events
Support acts for Young Guns came from Boy Jumps Ship and VukoviThe atmosphere was building up on the night I could feel myself getting a little giddy as "yes" they are my favorite rock band and could feel my hands slipping down my Nikon camera as I am getting ready to take some pictures of the band.
The lights went down the crowds had gathered the place was alight with
excitement and buzz then.... A purple light beamed down onto Young Guns drum kit where Ben Jolliffe(drummer) sat with drum sticks in hands, giving us all an intro with his energetic performance to get us all captivated. Then enter the rest of the band giving us Gustav's vocal of Give it to me, give it to me - from "Rising up"**Young Guns Set List**Rising UPDaylightStitchesMemento MoriInfinityLullabyWinter KissI was BornLean My LessonGravityDaughter Of The SeaOnes And ZerosSpeaking In tongues I Want Out**Bones**
One of the last songs they did for the night was the unmistakable sound of "Bones"
Yes, oh yes and they sure did not disappoint whipping the crowd into a frenzy as one of his favorite part of the show and getting everyone jumping around with our hands up.
"Lets Go Letssss Go Hands UP" Then Gustav gets in the thick of it all by standing on the barrier leaning his mic and himself into the crowd, they engage with the audience in such a way that you feel part of the Young guns spirit.I don't know about anyone else but felt like I had done a full work out too, as enjoyed myself so much it was out of this world. They did a very nice set list could of done with a few more oldies for fans such as me but was so good to get to hear some of the new album Ones and Zeros.I have to say after the show Gustav came down to meet us all which I thought was so thoughtful to do so and "yes" me & my Husband got to met him ekkkkkkk and was a little overwhelmed as these guys have helped me so much with their unbelievable rock sounds.
Can't wait to see you again in May in Leeds for the Slam Dunk Festival!
