The Yeah Yeah Yeahs have once again collaborated with Patrick Daughters, the Director behind the video for “Maps”, to create an equally astonishing visual piece for the song “Despair” off their new album Mosquito. The video begins with front woman Karen O sad and drunkenly singing in a bar while her bandmates wearily travel through NYC towards the Empire State building. It builds from there, culminating in a goose bump-inducing scene on the observation deck with Karen jumping for joy while she sings and her band plays for seemingly all of New York to hear. Apart from being incredible, the video also is the first to be shot on top of the Empire State Building. Watch above and enjoy!
