Yeah Great Fine, Thurlow [kickstarter Hunting]

Once every few weeks, we hunt Kickstarter, a fascinating funding platform used by artists, filmmakers, and musicians to help raise money for their projects.  With Kickstarter Hunting, we find interesting projects by great bands that we think you should know about.

With throbbing beats, layered vocals, and an undeniable groove, Yeah Great Fine may just be the coolest new band to come out of Portland.  The group has already reached their goal of $1,500 for a West Coast tour and 7″ release, but talent like this could always use a little extra support.

Best ROI: $20 gets you a copy of their first self-titled LP, a signed copy of their limited edition Circadian EP on 7” vinyl, AND a personal thank you in the form of your name placed on the insert of the 7” vinyl.  Awesome deal if you ask me.

Los Angeles natives Jacqueline Caruso and Augustus Green have come together (both as a married couple and a musical duo) to create lo-fi electro-pop magic.  Their musical project, Thurlow, pairs angelic harmonies with rattling percussion to create a warm and vibrant sound.  The band is looking to raise $2,500 to create limited edition screen printed t-shirts and 7” vinyl for their upcoming album, Walking Hearts.

Best ROI: $25 gets you a Limited Edition signed copy of Walking Hearts on 7” vinyl.
