Yamaha has recently fueled speculations to launch several high-performance bikes in India. It also includes maxi scooters. A promotional video by the company showcased several new models, which may soon make their way to India. Significantly, the Yamaha XSR 155 motorcycle is also seen in the video.

Although never launched in India, the Yamaha XSR 155 has been talked about for a long time. This neo retro bike is very popular in the international market. Most importantly, it is built on the platform of R15 and MT15. Engine and chassis are one. However, the two models look completely different. Has a modern classic design.

While the XSR 155 was supposed to be launched in India much earlier, the plans changed and the India-specific Yamaha FZ-X arrived. The Japanese company is now planning to bring a bunch of international bikes to the country. Sightings of the MT-07, R7, and Tenere 700 in promotional videos fueled that speculation.

The Yamaha XSR's 155 cc, liquid-cooled engine produces 19.3 PS of power at 10,000 rpm and 14.7 Nm of torque at 8,500 rpm. The engine is mated to an assist, slipper clutch, and six-speed gearbox. It will rival the TVS Ronin and Royal Enfield Hunter 350 when launched in India.
