During the Apple Valley airshow, a group of local RedStars pilots perform a formation flyby in their Russian Yak-52 trainers. First flown in 1976, the Yak-52 is a primary flight and aerobatic training aircraft. Capable of to +7/ –5 Gs, with a starboard roll rate of 180 degrees/sec, the Yak-52 has been used in international aerobatic competition up to the Advanced level.
