Yahoo Unveils 7 Redesigned Websites Ahead of Big Reboot

Yahoo’s new CEO, Marissa Mayer made some radical changes to the company as soon as she stepped in her office. After taking responsibility of the broken company, she vowed to make Yahoo a ”daily habit” for consumers, again. Somehow, it seems to be working. Recent reports from ComScore showed that Yahoo! is back on top in the U.S. as the top ranking website, beating down Google. I think it’s safe to say Marissa Mayer has revived Yahoo back from the dead.

She’s not done yet. The company is slowly rebooting all of its’ major websites. Recently they even announced its’ plans to unveil a new logo. It’s set to happen next month to officially mark the rebooting process. Ahead of this event, Yahoo has unveiled seven of their redesigned/ refreshed websites, including Yahoo! Sports, Yahoo! Movies, Yahoo! Music, Yahoo! TV, Yahoo! omg!,Yahoo! Games and Yahoo! Weather.

Yahoo! Sports now features more information along with premium content,  game scores and fantasy games while Yahoo! Movies, Yahoo! Music, Yahoo! TV and Yahoo! omg! Shares a similar, minimalist design to help users easily find movie showtimes, nearby theaters, music, photos, celebrity news and many more. Yahoo! Weather also features more personalized information, including features from mobile apps and with an absolutely beautiful new look. As always, they didn’t forget to cleverly place some native advertisements into these websites.

Mike Kerns of Yahoo teases on the official Yahoo blog to expect “more from Yahoo!” soon. Looks like we will get to see more refreshments along the way. Yahoo already took care of its homepage, Mail, Flickr and many more. I’m not sure if there’s anything left to reboot? I guess we will have to wait and find out.
