Xochi Bar and Kitchen is a new restaurant cum bar right on Outer Ring Road close to Central Mall, Bellendur. The place is huge when it comes to size and is spread over 2 floors. The settings are open with nature by your side. You can just relax here and see the world goes by infront of your eyes from the large windows. There are different seating arrangements like sofa and chairs with few tables by the moon as well. The place can accommodate even a large group. The menu here comprises of Indian, Chinese and Thai dishes.
At Xochi the bar takes the center stage. We tried couple of their cocktails which were refreshing and infused with new flavors. Don’t miss out on the Bahama Mix which is made from Pineapple juice and tender coconut. The drink is amazing in taste and will take you straight to Bahama’s. We also had the Fruity Love for fruit lovers. Made with peach syrup, fresh orange, pomegranate and tomato; you can taste the fruity chunks in every sip. The next cocktail was Doctor Who, made with Apple juice, elder flower syrup, rosemary with watermelon chunks on top. Lastly, we tried their Betal Smack. Betel Syrup is mixed with pineapple juice and the drink is topped with betal leafs. Super refreshing!
Bahama MixThe menu at Xochi is huge and we decided to try few of their best sellers. The Bharva Paneer Tikka is out of the world. The soft paneer is stuffed with mixed vegetables and pineapple which gives it a sweet taste. The smoke had sipped right inside, and the combination was simply outstanding. The Bahrva Chatpata Kumb is stuffed mushroom with spices and cheese. The dish is spicy and cheesy. The Makai Ka Tikki are sallow fried tikki stuffed with corn and potatoes. The tikki was filling and you can taste the corn throughout.
The appetizers here are not to be missed and we ordered more. The Mushroom and Baby corn Kalimirch is a great snack along with the drinks. Mushroom and babycorn are tossed with salt and fresh black pepper. The Tofu Chilli is a healthier version of the Chilli Paneer as it is made with soft Tofu. The dish had large chunks of onions and bell peppers. Lastly, we tried their Vegetables and Cottage Cheese Satay. This Asian dish comes on a stick with grilled vegetables and paneer marinated in Thai flavors and served with peanut sauce. The peanut sauce was super savory and took the dish to the next level.
For the main course we tried their Dhaba Angrez Subzi, Saag Sabzi and Dal Makhani along with Tandoori roti. The Angrez Sabzi as the name suggests is made with Zucchini, babycorn, broccoli, bell pepper and waterchestnut in rich spicy tomato gravy. While the Saag Sabzi is made with mixed vegetables cooked in palak and sarson gravy. Don’t miss out on the Dal Makhani which is absolute divine. We even tried their Blueberry cheesecake. Unlike other places the cheesecake was soft and not frozen. The taste of the crumble was buttery and crunchy. Loved it!
Blueberry CheesecakeXochi drinks and food comes as a surprise. The service was also great throughout.
