Microsoft has just confirmed that its’ next-gen console won’t be shipped with 3D Blu-ray support, according to CNET. Although, it won’t be an issue if you’re planning to buy a PlayStation 4 because Sony has confirmed to Engadget that their new console will definitely support 3D Blu-ray playback as well as 3D gameplay.
This news may come as a deal breaker for those of you who have been leaning towards getting an Xbox One this holiday season, but keep in mind that Xbox One could get 3D Blu-ray support sometime in the future after initial launch.

Sony already supports 3D Blu-ray playback on PS3 and it used to be one of the features that attracted a lot of users to the console, which has scored 80 million sales worldwide. With Microsoft still far behind in this aspect of technology, it might as well serve as another reason for more people to pick PS4.
Sony will release PlayStation 4 on November 15th while Microsoft launch Xbox One on November 22nd.
