Verdict on Wreck – Episode One – The Talented Mr Whippy
Wreck – Episode One – The Talented Mr Whippy gives us a great introduction to the characters, environment and killer duck. It does an excellent job to grab our attention with the design of the killer, as well as showing us that it is a used mascot on board the cruise liner.
The comedy comes from seeing Jamie adapting to life on board as well as him trying to keep his secret identity from everyone else. The real Cormac gets laughs too, as he is stuck in the cabin quarters. When it comes to the killer, it is kept covered in mystery about motivation.
Much like ‘Harper’s Island’ & ‘Scream Queens’ we are left wanting more and we try to piece together the mystery about who the killer could be.
Final Thoughts – Wreck – Episode One – The Talented Mr Whippy is an excellent introduction, begging us to return for more.
