Wrapping up…Heading Home

By Cbdesigns @cherylboglioli

It’s finally time for me to start heading home and I think I’m ready.   I will admit I am dreading the heat back in south Florida, but I’m missing my hubby and daughter.  The last week has been so much fun and has been really good for my soul.   The picture above was my view for the last week as I had a wonderful, personal retreat on the beach in South Portland, Maine.

Here are a few more…

Low tide

Spring flowers

…can’t resist an art supply trip

sightseeing…

…good food with good friends

…relaxing  (built that fire myself!!  )

…sunrise and sunset walks  along the beach

sometimes all bundled up looking like a dork…

… and hurting with the rest of the country as we watch in horror the evil in our world, all while embracing the faith in knowing we will persevere.

My heart goes out to all those that were personally affected by this attack.  However, I realize that we are all affected to some degree.   These attacks makes us weary, fearful, judgmental, sad, and angry.   We must learn to live our life every day being the best we can be.   We must remember to tell those around us that we love them and find ways to show this.  We must not squander our time and fall into petty drama.  We must embrace our gifts and abilities and use them to better our world around us.

What am I doing today and what am I planning to do tomorrow to make a difference to those around me?   I had some great alone time to dream and do some self-evaluating.   I will set short-term and long-term goals and I will break these down into steps I CAN accomplish.

However, today…I will pack my car.  I will say goodbye to my friends here in the North East.   I thank everyone that has hosted me, entertained me, welcomed me, and those that took time to take a class with me or just drive to meet me in person.  Thank you all for enriching my life.   I will be heading home so that I can hug my husband and daughter and make sure they know I love them and appreciate their support and constant encouragement.

What tomorrow, next week, next month, or next year will bring, I have no way of knowing.  But I’m going to enjoy today and look forward to all my tomorrows.
