After watching the first trailer for the upcoming Steve Jobs biopic, a lot of people started to talk good things about the great co-founder of Apple, again. However, there was one man who wasn’t really happy about this film. That’s the other co-fonder of Apple, Steve Wozniak. Woz contributed to the company as much as Jobs did and he’s one of the key players in the company. He says that this biopic has changed the real story to  “portray Steve as a saint“.

In an interview with Front, he said that Steve Jobs is “one of the key people who led Apple through failure after failure”, Woz says that he was “ok” with the way it portrayed him but believes that “Other characters like Sculley and Markkula are wildly exaggerated in ways that tend to portray them as sleazy or something.”

Woz constantly reminded that this biopic is just an “artistic interpretation” of some parts of the true story. According to him, he and Jobs had a different kind of relationship than what was portrayed in the movie.

That’s the thing about show biz, true stories change when they have to make it entertaining, even though it’s misleading. It’s probably a good idea to read the true story, iWoz written by Wozniak himself ,before watching the movie.
