In this collaboration, the company plans to use AI (Artificial Intelligence) to launch a voice-assistant service on the platform, with the help of which users will be able to book their holidays in Indian languages.
In the initial phase, access to this feature will be provided to a small group for testing, in which they will speak their travel bookings in Hindi and English through voice-assistant. As soon as it is confirmed that the feature is completely correct and no bug is present in it, it will be rolled out to all users. The company plans to expand this feature to other Indian languages as well, including regional languages like Bhojpuri.
How will this new technology work?
For this new technology, Microsoft will provide AI facility on the online platform of Make My Trip. For this, the Microsoft company will provide the technology travel website of Azure OpenAI and Azure Cognitive Services, with the help of which customers will be able to speak and book their travel on the platform. The technology will provide personalized travel recommendations based on the customer’s inputs, including their budget, activity, occasion, travel time, etc.
