Painting weekend, and parting my time between a little 'perspective' project and Life Drawing.
Here are the first stages of a building, shadow light and sunset, in Hardelot… These have been built in the sixties, and are facing the sea : the seafront view is a disaster, just a vast perspective of white constructions. The sea resort is so quite in the winter : half of the apartments are empty.

Life drawing at Beaux Arts on Friday, and a good working afternoon at La Grande Chaumière. Here are the sketches I picked up from these two sessions :
Human Figure is definitely a subject on its own… I enjoy myself and facing the model is like facing the truth : how far can you understand this subject, and can you conciliate observation and your drawing cumulated experience, without going apart from what can be seen?
I might spend some time studying on anatomy, and work on giving volume to my drawings… this can be good to prepare the next sessions.
